Wonderful performances at the Secondary School Musical Evening!

Yesterday evening, Wednesday 25th April, the Secondary School Musical Evening took place and what a night it was! Students must go through an audition process to participate in this event which means that the audience was treated to an extremely high standard of performance throughout the night.

There was a wide range of soloists/duos in instruments such as piano, violin, cello, flute and harp, as well as many singers in both the musical theatre and classical genres. In terms of group performances, there were three choirs (First Year, Cecilian, Chamber), two traditional groups (Intermediate and Senior), and two orchestras (Intermediate and Senior).

Special congratulations go to the students who went on stage up to three or four times throughout the evening, and also to the many Sixth Year students who still find time to dedicate themselves to their music even during such a hectic school year.

Huge thanks to all the teachers who prepared their students. And thank you to everyone who attended – we hope you enjoyed this fantastic evening of entertainment!

A successful night at the Primary School & External Musical Evening!

This evening, Tuesday 17th April, we had our annual Primary School & External Musical Evening, a highlight of St Angela’s music calendar. This lovely event is an opportunity for all our students of primary school age and students from external schools to perform a piece they have learned this year (the Ursuline Secondary School have their own separate musical evening next Wednesday 25th April – don’t miss it!).

This evening we were treated to an array of performances on piano, violin, flute, clarinet and harp. The Junior Choir and the Junior Traditional Group also participated. Congratulations to every student who got up to play – it’s no easy feat to perform in front of a big audience! Thanks also to all the parents and teachers for your support!
